This inaugural exhibition aims to be a starting point for reflection between the past and the future, especially in this moment in which we live, and a vehicle for contributing to a more conscious and resilient society.
Curated by Negarra A. Kudumu (Angola / USA), NEW ERA FOR HUMANITY will present works by 28 contemporary artists from different countries such as: South Africa, Angola, Mozambique, Nigeria, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe. Through sculpture, photography, painting, performance and video art, he seeks to establish dialogues between the different cultures and identities of each participant.
Distributed over the four floors of one of the most iconic buildings in Marvila, the exhibition will include works by Rita GT (Portugal), Ana Silva, Keyezua, Ihosvanny, Mónica Miranda and Mumpasi Meso (Angola), Kwame Sousa (São Tomé and Príncipe), Mário Macilau (Mozambique), Asìko (Nigeria), among many others, and can be visited between 27 May and 7 August 2021 .
